The fourth Urban Wine Walk, a concept created by Josh Starwick of Neighbourhood Events, attracted over 500 participants to inner city Perth and Northbridge to sip and swirl through wines from more than 16 wine producers on Saturday February 3. Each wine producer partnered with a venue to create a unique offering showcasing individual wines and signature food pairings.

Flor Marché partnered with The Spaniard in Wolf Lane to show new releases 2017 ‘Titch & Loko’ Trebbiano, 2017 Nouveau Grenache and 2017 Nouveau Malbec. The Spaniard chef Jordi Sorribas from Catalunya prepared paella to pair with the wines. Earlier in the day I had been out to Eugenio’s Grenache vineyard to collect some samples for analysis. Attendees at the Urban Wine Walk were invited to guess the Baume (sugar ripeness) within one decimal point to win a two pack of Grenache.

The next Urban Wine Walk will be held in May 5, 2017 and Flor Marché will again be partnering with extraordinary The Raw Kitchen.
